Our 2023 IMPACT
In 2023, AWF, in collaboration with Cancer Services, supported patients coping with CRC, their families, & their caregivers through their 3 Annual projects: Backpack & School Supply Drive, Thanksgiving Food Cards, & Angel Christmas Gifts.
Our 2022 impact
In 2022, AWF, in collaboration with Atrium Wake Baptist and their Mobile Health Unit, with a grant from the Colon Cancer Coalition ‘s local “Get Your Rear in Gear” fundraiser, provided FIT tests to uninsured and underserved individuals .
Our 2021 impact
In 2021, AWF hosted its 1st Annual Angel Run, attended several community events sharing information, participated in & raised money for Get Your Rear in Gear-Colon Cancer Coalition, & collaborated with Cancer Services to provide financial support & school supplies for patients & families.
Our 2020 impact
In less than a year since launching, we‘ve seen over 8 people get colonoscopies -including a family of 5!- after reading our awareness posts; we’ve connected with 2 families, we’re in the process of collaborating with a local cancer organization, and we’ve reached hundreds of people with information about colon cancer!
